Come on liberals,Now your playing the race card on baseball?

By D.C.

We all know the political left is on a constant search for racism and we on the right are constantly the ones who are accused of being the racists.I take it very personally when someone calls me a racist for my political beliefs.

It is very easy to call someone a racist and it is very hard to prove that you are not. There isn't any "non" racist test to take.Liberals know this and it is why they,on a near daily basis, play the race card on any variety of issues.

Which now brings us to baseball.Yes folks,America's pastime is racist.Well, not my hometown Milwaukee Brewers but the umpires. At least according to some moonbat liberals.

This will get you written up.

 By D.C.

I guess this is probably enough to get this postman written up,from TMJ 4,"Postal worker arrested for OWI".Don't worry,I'm sure the union will take care of him.

At least this idiot didn't kill anybody.

You can call me a "Square".

By D.C.

I went to the grocery store this morning to pick up a few items,14 items to be specific.I counted them because I wanted to use the "express",15 items or less, check out line.

The express line was a few folks deep and I got behind a fortyish man who, while very nicely dressed, badly needed a hair cut.I noticed this fellow had a lot more than 15 items. As the cashier rang up his items,I counted all 37 of them.

Of course,I didn't say anything, but it really bothers me when people do this.Just call it a pet peeve. You know, following the rules, having respect for the way someone chooses to operate their private business, dorky, nerdy, square things like that.

Honesty is the best policy.

By D.C.

Here is a great L.A. Times' story about common human decency in the wake of a tragedy,"Japanese return cash recovered after tsunami,In a testament to Japan's culture of honesty, finders have turned in $78 million to authorites and some have wavied their right to the money even when the rightful owners cannot be found."

It's well worth a read.We could use a dose of the Japanese honesty in this country.

This is my brief summary of the Fox-Google/Florida Republican Debate.I will go in alphabetical order to be fair.

Michelle Bachmann is a goose, ready to be served.

Herman Cain showed us he has a tick,9,9,9.

Newt Gingrich proved he still can quote Ronald Reagan.

Jon Huntsman told us that he really wants to be taken seriously by democrats.

Drones and Liberty (Not the bee type of drones or the Constitutional type of Liberty either)

By D.C.

Today on the Washington Post's Checkpoint blog,Craig Whitlock has this rather interesting post,"In tropical paradise, U.S. drones meant revenue".In his post,he discusses a 2010 diplomatic cable revealed by the Wiki links leak. The cable touts the economic benefits that deployment of U.S. military drones to the Seychelles have brought to the islands.

I applaud Kirstie Alley for working hard and loosing 100 pounds at age 60.As OMG! blog reports,Kirstie Alley Wants To Be 'Madly, Deeply In Love',she is on the man prowl.OMG! references a People magazine story,Kirstie Alley on 100 Lb. Weight Loss, Looking For Love and Dating.

Sometimes I am glad when I didn't write about something.

By D.C.

I had thought about writing a piece on the execution of cop killer Troy Davis.I'm glad I didn't because Ann Coulter does a much better job than I ever could today in her column,"Mumia's the Word".The only thing I can add now is that I am in total agreement with Ms.Coulter.

Are you stressed out at the grocery store?

By D.C.

Does going to the grocery store cause you stress? Not the screaming kids (whether they are your kids or not),clogged aisles,or long check out lines, but the financial stress of the grocery bill.

Spitzer wants to return to the "Good 'Ole Days".

By D.C.

  Eliot Spitzer writes today in Slate,"Young,Poor and Desperate:The poverty crisis is devastating young Americans. Here's what the president can do about it." (Spitzer's job application to the Obama administration.) He discusses the terrible jobs situation with the nation's young people.He spells out the numbers and I do not disagree with his analysis.I disagree with his solution.Here is his big idea to fix the problem;

The Eggheads are cracked.

By D.C.

 In Maureen Dowd's Sunday New York Times column,"Egghead and Blockheads",she writes that the Republican party presidential candidates (and pretty much the party as a whole) are Blockheads,meaning they are stupid.She contends the liberals are the Eggheads,the "smart",educated bunch,who know much better how to the serve the nation.She concludes with this;

Yeah,I knew that Socrates was full of crap and a liberal hypocrite.

By D.C.

I am a fan of the classics,I admit that. When I quote Greek classics to my husband,he always cuts me off with this,"Trojan War Veteran,Will Philosophize for Wine and Bread". For us,that joke is hilarious.

I know that Socrates was pretty much full of crap, regardless of what Plato says about him.I do find the subject rather enjoyable and if you do too, then you might find this article enjoyable. It comes via Salon,"The Socrates you don't know ".

"Little" Bobby Reich has lost it.

By D.C.

In a darkened room somewhere in the bowels of the White House,a rather shrill first lady (wife of the first black president) has a private meeting with the diminutive Secretary of Labor. She says,"Robert, relax and look at the pocket watch." As the watch gently swings back and forth,Robert feels his eyelids becoming heavy.

The first lady continues,"You are getting very sleepy Robert, very sleepy. There is a vast right wing conspiracy. You will believe this.A vast right wing conspiracy. When I snap my fingers you will wake up and believe in the vast right wing conspiracy." SNAP!

Don't mess with Texas' jobs.

By D.C.

You are beginning to hear the left's attack machine try to tear down Rick Perry's job creation record. In general they are saying most of Perry's job creation is low wage work.I am not going to make wise cracks about "Little" Bobby Reich today, but I am going to use his most recent blog post as an example of this. Then I want to point out a few facts about median incomes.

Coulter hits another home run.

By D.C.

Ann Coulter's column this week,"So A Comatose Guy Walks Into a Bar",is (as usual) brilliant and well worth a read.

There is no need for Mark Steyn to argue.Liberals just don't understand.

By D.C.

I love reading or hearing liberals try to explain conservative thought and ideology. They struggle and grasp at things. It can be rather entertaining,if you find liberals showing their stupidity humorous.I do and I get a lot of laughs nearly everyday.

A MUST READ FOR PARENTS WITH YOUNG KIDS!

By D.C.

I found this Slate article very interesting,"A 1979 first grade readiness checklist asks if your child can travel alone in the neighborhood, but not if she can read." It discusses how far in the 1970's parents allowed their children to go away from home vs. how far parents do now.The article has a link to another interesting site on this same subject.

Milwaukee has been there and done that.

By D.C.

From the AP wire, via the Portland (Maine) Press Herald,we get the following story,"Seattle set to require paid worker sick days".

More Global Warming Hoaxes and Hucksters.

Here is a nugget from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette,"PSU professor's climate work wins 1 of 9 Heinz Awards".Yes,the Heinz Awards are given away by Teresa Heinz, wife of failed presidential candidate Sen.John Kerry-Heinz. The award is $100 grand cash and a medal. You always have to get the medal. It's her money, she can give it to anybody she wants.

Liberals lack faith and it shows.

By D.C.

Andrew Sullivan writes,on his "The Dish" blog today, yet another article about conservatives being religious nuts.He has been on his own religious type crusade to somehow prove that being a conservative and a Christian makes you a crazy person. And crazy people are dangerous.OOOooooo,be afraid, very afraid.

The future of Tommy B's Milwaukee Trolley

By D.C.

 In some not so far off future the following paragraph could appear in the Milwaukee Journal;
"Milwaukee transportation officials readily admit that building the first phase of Tommy B's Trolley has been trying, costing hundreds of millions of dollars more than originally budgeted and suffering nagging delays."

You want a "Grand Bargain"? I got your bargain right here.

By D.C.

In Tom Friedman's Sept.10th NY Times' column,"Getting Back to a Grand Bargain",he lectures us about this "Grand Bargain" that must be reached by both parties to fix the economy (and get Barry re-elected along the way).Of course,he believes that the right wing is far too rigid in their anti big government beliefs. He thinks we on the right just need to be "reasonable".

Wah! Wah! Little Bobby wants more cake!

By D.C.

Little Bobby Reich is crying again after Barry's big speech Thursday night.Of course,he is happy that the president showed some fight in him but as he blogged today,"Obama's jobs plan isn't enough",it's not enough cake for Bobby. He wants much more cake.Bobby is so sore about Barry's plan that he doesn't even want to eat any of the cake Barry offered.

Ice cream maker Ben and Jerry's has a new flavor. It's called "Schweddy Balls".It's described as "vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and loaded with fudge covered rum and malt balls".The name comes from a 90's Saturday Night Live skit starring Alec Baldwin. Baldwin should just hit the showers and I'll stick with chocolate ice cream.

Liberty is not just a word.Even the ACLU gets that.

By D.C.

Glenn Greenwald has an excellent piece on Salon today,Sept.7,The ACLU on Obama and core liberties. In it he discusses a just released ACLU report,on the 10th anniversary of 9/11,and the on going loss of liberties by American citizens as a result of the "War on Terror".

Reflections on a Labor Day cookout.

By D.C.

This past Sunday,my husband and I were obliged by the rules of neighborly hospitality to attend our neighbor's "End of Summer"/Labor Day cookout. These are always small affairs but I know a couple of liberals will mouth off some political nonsense. These people just assume that everyone agrees with them.

The thrill is gone......And along with it,the tingle up the leg too.

By D.C.

I hear the grumblings from those on the left about Obama.I read the various op-eds such as Maureen Dowd's (New York Times,Sat.Sept.3) column,"One and Done?",expressing her frustration with Barry.

She is only one in a sea of liberal columnists expressing this same frustration with Barry.I heard the "Hill Crowd" go around saying,"We told you so." But,I haven't heard from these lefties about really throwing Barry overboard. Until now.

Happy Labor Day! Do not be surprised...w/video

By D.C.

Do not be surprised if the union goons act up on Monday. We will probably get some good rhetoric out of them. They are as mad at Obama as they are us.Well, they are upset with Barry, they just hate us.

All those government supported "green jobs"? That never came into existence? Those jobs? The jobs that were supposed to be unionized, government supported jobs? That didn't really work out for you.It was not real anyway..You bought that?

Card check didn't pan out for them. The thing with Boeing is falling apart. The government propping up GM is almost out of cash, again. The government funded, unionized, shovel ready jobs, were never really there in the first place.

We kicked their ass in Wisconsin.

They thought their union coffers would be filled with tax payer cash and it didn't happen. If I lived my life waiting on the government to provide my daily bread, then I reckon I'd be hacked off too.The real problem is that government has no bread because too many people ask for it already. The people who bake the bread are out of dough.

LOOSE ENDS: It's not easy being GREEN when you don't have a JOB;1-800-SPACE JUNK;Little Bobby's neighbor's house is a Dump;Is the Constitution now just a hot dog wrapper?

By D.C.

With the government's release today of horrible jobs numbers, zero growth in August,Daniel Politi files the following report on Slate,"Employment Surprisingly Stagnates in August".

Why is the liberal media always surprised when example after example of the failed economic policies of the president come to light? The only thing that I find surprising is that the situation isn't worse.

This is very rare, but I am going to (kind of) defend Barry on this one.

 By D.C.

Many folks have been upset that Barry O. wants to give a big speech to congress and that the time of this speech is going to conflict with the pre-game part of the Packers' season opener.I'm not going to rip on the president too much for this.

Little Bobby wants another Band Aid for America's Boo Boo.

By D.C.

"Little Bobby" Reich is at it again.Instead of concentrating on serious things,he has daydreamed away another day.In his column this week,"Obama's Jobs Plan:Will He Offer Policy Miniatures or Give 'em Hell? ",Robert Reich has some brilliant plans to improve the economy.

He has two plans for this. The first plan is known as Plan A.The second plan is known as Plan B.It's always good to have a secondary plan if the first plan is a failure.(I think I am channeling some old Monty Python's skit here.)
