Fox 6 Lies ! Fox 6 Lies !

 Milwaukee's own WITI Fox 6 news reporter Mike Lowe's "Political Lowe-down" report, "Who are David and Charles Koch ?", this weekend was a true piece of garbage. This liberal biased and totally misleading trash should not be confused with anything remotely called journalism. It is leftist propaganda.



 Because of the Koch brothers being the subject of the left's latest hysterical rantings, this is a story worthy of reporting on, but honestly. The concept of honest reporting is obviously a foreign one to Mike Lowe, but I don't think that he had any intent of reporting this story fair or balanced in the first place. Lowe attempts to veil it in some sort of fair news story, but once you pull back the veil, you see it's ugly liberal face.



 My MediaPolitical column last week compared the radical leftist group Democracy for America bringing in 3 dozen out of state paid professional community organizers to work the recall election against Gov. Walker. Those folks have zero interest in Wisconsin other than the promotion of liberalism verses the Koch brothers who have legitimate business interests in this state, and in supporting Gov. Walker. The Koch's interests provide good jobs and tax revenue for the state. These leftists do nothing but cause destruction and leave the ruins behind for the taxpayer to deal with.



 Let's dig right in to Lowe's liberal biased, lie filled story. The first lie. Lowe quotes UW-Milwaukee Professor of Governmental Affairs Mordecai Lee;

“To me, the really important thing about the Koch brothers is that they don’t have any interest in Wisconsin. They have no links to Wisconsin except ideology, except their political values, so in a sense they picked a name out of a hat and said ‘let’s go with Scott Walker. Let’s go with the Republicans because Wisconsin is where the action is’."

 Here is the second lie from Lowe's report;

"Perhaps the Wisconsin politician most affected by Koch influence is Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. “They let me have it right in the kisser, there’s no question about it. It underscores one of the biggest problems we have in American politics, which is outside money, special interest money. None of these people have anything to do with the state of Wisconsin, but they are all his allies in this ideological war,” Barrett said."

 Do you note the theme of those two quotes ? That the Koch brothers have no legitimate interest in Wisconsin other that to promote their political ideology. Lowe offers no direct conjecture to these quotes, thus he reports this as fact.



 I want to make this clear. Business owners have every legal right to support political causes that may benefit their business interests and oppose ones that do not. As a business owner, they not only have a fiduciary responsibility to themselves to do this, they have one to their employees and the communities those folks live in. In other words, there is nothing morally or legally wrong with this.



 The lefty website Treehugger (which links to liberal site Think Progress for more on this) has an article about that if one wants to hurt the Koch brothers' bottom line, take money out of their pockets, to boycott the paper company Georgia Pacific, which makes products like Brawny paper towels, Dixie paper plates and Angel Soft toilet paper. In his Fox 6 report, Mike Lowe does mention this related fact;

"The Koch empire includes interests in oil and energy firms and companies that make familiar products including Dixie cups, Brawny paper towels and Stainmaster carpet."

 Lowe does report on the Koch's various philanthropic interests and that is his veil of fairness. But here is what Lowe conveniently forgets to mention, also what Mordecai Lee and Mayor Tom Barrett pretend to not know. And this is the lie.



 Georgia Pacific is a major employer in Wisconsin. They have facilities in Neenah, Oshkosh, Phillips, Sheboygan, Wausau, and four locations in Green Bay. They provide jobs for roughly 2,800 Wisconsinites that generate at least $160 million dollars in taxable income a year. Those folks support families, buy homes and spend their after tax income in Wisconsin, in those cities, which in turn supports other local businesses, who also happen to pay taxes.



 If Mike Lowe and Fox 6 claim they were reporting this story honestly, that is a major and very important fact to omit. This proves that the Koch brothers do have legitimate interests in Wisconsin and good reason to protect them. Now, I think we can examine why those facts were omitted.



 Lefty Lowe and the liberal news editors at Fox 6 know these facts, they also know their average viewer does not. The fact they did not report them shows their intent was to deceive their viewers. From a journalistic standpoint, omission of known pertinent facts from a news story is no different than inventing facts from thin air or misrepresenting real facts, it is a lie to the public. That makes this story a lie and those who told it lairs.



 So, I can now honestly say this, FOX 6 LIES ! FOX 6 LIES ! But, to be fair and balanced, MIKE LOWE LIES ! MIKE LOWE LIES !



 Just a note to the liberals at Fox 6, and all other media liberals for that matter. I admit my bias right up front. I make no secret of it. I understand why you guys pretend to be straight, non biased, just the facts, but nobody buys it anymore. This really makes you look foolish when people like me point it out. If you would just admit your bias up front, you could put people like me out of business. But, I guess that is the rub for you. If you admit your bias, you will put yourselves out of business. So, it looks like I will have a long career ahead of me, and you guys make it so easy.
