More liberal hypocrisy.Where is that darn free market when you need it?

By D.C.

 Here is a real gem of a story from the L.A.Times,"Debit card fees: Dick Durbin: Bank of America customers should 'vote with their feet'." The story is basically about Bank of America saying they are going to begin charging debit card users a $5 monthly fee.The reason is because of government regulations that they say will cost B of A around 2 billion dollars a year.Sen.Dick Durbin is one of the primary authors of the legislation that created the regulations.

In the story,Sen Durbin says B of A customers should leave the bank and go to banks with free checking.That's all old news,but in the end is this shiny gem from President Obama;
In an interview with ABC News and Yahoo on Monday, President Obama defended his administration's action to limit credit card fees in general and criticized the new fees being imposed by BofA and other banks.

"What the banks are saying is that, rather than take a little bit less of a profit,"  the industry would prefer to charge its customers more, Obama told ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "This is exactly why we need somebody whose sole job it is to prevent this kind of stuff from happening."

Obama said the new fees can be stopped through competition. "My hope is, is that you're going to see a bunch of the banks who say to themselves, you know what, this is actually not good business practice," he said.
 Let's forget about the "little less profit" line,we all know liberals hate it when anyone in the private sector earns a penny of profit.I would remind the president and my readers that B of A has a fiduciary responsibility to it's share holders to earn as much of those evil profits as legally possible.We need to move to the last paragraph of the story for the gem.

 What was that Mr.President? Competition? You and your wasted stimulus money.You,the picker of winners and losers,with your loans to worthless solar power companies(among others).You are the leader of the party that created the over regulation of the business in the first place.You and your party are the creators of the whole dam mess!

 Now,who do you want to fix it? The free market.You freakin' hypocrite.
