President Obama's "choices" have not been the "right" ones.

By D.C.

 ABC's Jake Tapper got one of those "exclusive" interviews with President Obama during a campaign stop in North Carolina.Tapper asked the President some questions about the economy and the challenges of his re-election campaign.In the middle of one the President's bloviated answers to a question about the 2012 campaign,he offered this much talked about quote;
"I guarantee it's going to be a close election because the economy is not where it wants to be and even though I believe all the choices we've made have been the right ones, we're still going through difficult circumstances."
 The President "believes" that the "choices" "we've" made are the "right" ones? Does the president not read the newspapers,look at economic data or read polls? How about watching cable news or listening to the radio? What about all the stimulus money? They couldn't find a few bucks to have the internet hooked up to the White House? Forget about "economic bubbles",what "bubble" does the President live in?

 "We've" made the "right choices"? Who is "we"? Did "he" allow someone else to make these "choices" for him? No,of course not,the "choices" were made by the President himself and only him. Remember where the "buck" stops? The President seems to have a problem with accepting personal responsibility,but most liberals have this same problem.

 Oh,did the liberals dance and guffaw with delight when President Bush said he was "The Decider".They called President Bush an idiot,a shoot'em up cowboy,a dictator,a cruel man,a war criminal,a person who could not be reasoned with and was out of control.

 What the liberals did not and cannot understand is that President Bush was taking personal responsibility for the actions of his administration when he said that.This is something that President Obama will not ever do.

 In much the same way President Obama wants to spread other people's money around,he wants to spread the blame around,by blaming Bush or by saying it's the choices "we've" made.But the American people know it was "he" who made these choices and it will be "he" who has to answer for these choices in the next election.

 I could make a long list of "choices" that I "believe" the President has been wrong about,but why ask me when you can ask one of President's own pals about some of these "right choices"?

 Former senior economic advisor to President Obama,Austan Goolsbee, went on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program Thursday.The following is from a Politico piece,"Austan Goolsbee flunks cash for clunkers",describing Goolsbee's appearance;
"Former Obama administration economic adviser Austan Goolsbee said Thursday that if given a second chance he would not have backed the Cash for Clunkers program or the home buyer tax credit passed in 2009 to stave off further economic distress."
“Because we didn’t know if [economic recovery was] going to be short or long,” the Obama administration tried measures to address both scenarios, Goolsbee explained on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“If you look at Cash for Clunkers or the first home buyer tax credit, they were geared to trying to shift [recovery] from 2010 into 2009. Given it’s taken this long [to recover], I don’t think you would do that short-run stuff,” Goolsbee added.
"Goolsbee, the former chairman of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, said the administration misjudged how quickly the country could recover from the economic damage of the 2008 economic collapse."
 So,here we have the president's former economic advisor admitting that the administration did not know if the economic recovery would be long or short and that they misjudged how quickly the economy would recover.In other words,they had no clue as to what was going on,which would lead one to "believe" that they also had no clue as to what to do about it.

 Also,Goolsbee says he wouldn't support "cash for clunkers" or first time home buyer tax credits if given a second chance at it.I guess those are a couple of Obama's "right choices".We out here in the real world don't get many second chances to correct the damage done by egghead liberals.

 Goolsbee does say that overall he supports government stimulus and thinks history will prove Obama right for doing it.Right now,we don't really have time for history to prove anything,but I guess it can be tough to admit when you know you were wrong.The Politico piece ends with this little gem;
"Goolsbee also disagreed with Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who said Wednesday that “private-sector jobs have been doing just fine” and that the focus should be on saving public sector jobs."
“I guess I would disagree a little. I think at this moment, the government still has an important role to play, it’s to get the private sector going, and we can do that with tax cuts and incentives,” he said.
 What? Obama's Keynesian ex-economic guru says that we should not invest more taxpayer money in government and cut taxes to spur private sector growth? It's too bad Goolsbee didn't tell Obama about those "right choices" a few years ago.

 You might ask,"Has the spirit of Ronald Reagan inhabited Austan Goolsbee's body?" No,Goolsbee is just an egghead,liberal hypocrite,who knows that Keynesian economics is just a sham excuse to expand the size and scope of centralized government and has nothing to do with economic growth.He basically just admitted as much.

 Goolsbee is just running for the hills,hoping he will not have to wear the scarlet letter "S" of stimulus on his lapel for the rest of his life.I'm sure if stimulus would have been a smashing success he would be demanding his ticker tape parade.

 Obama has nothing to run on,so he is blaming anything but himself and still blaming Bush for his problems.He will probably blame Austan Goolsbee before too long.The title of this August 8th story from Reuters says it all,"Obama says he inherited economic problems".

 So,Obama says President Bush created all the problems he inherited.After Obama has been in office nearly three years,making all these "right choices",he hasn't fixed the economy.If anything he has made it worse.All he offers is excuses.

 In a way,the President is admitting that after everything he has done,the expansion of government,increased business regulation,stimulus,bailouts,Obamacare,borrowing and printing a few trillion dollars,none of it has worked.

 President Obama's supporters will say that the President has failed because he was never given a chance,such as more and larger stimulus packages to promote the growth of government.

 I wouldn't say the President himself has failed.I would say that long ago,disproven Keynesian economic theories failed the President.Economic theories that should have died with the old Soviet Union.

 Before President Obama ever walked into the door of the Oval Office,he was doomed to fail due to his Socialist beliefs.The President's failure is not the work of the Tea Party,or any other right wingers,it is of his own making.

 Obama has no clue as what to do now,except to want more of the same failed policies.This shouldn't come as surprise because he didn't have a clue the day he took office either.

 The President just thought that everything the liberal egghead,highly paid Marxist,ivory tower folks told him would come true.All of his own "right choices" prove this.
