Liberals lack faith and it shows.

  Andrew Sullivan writes,on his "The Dish" blog today,yet another article about conservatives being religious nuts.He has been on his own religious type crusade to somehow prove that being a conservative and a Christian makes you a crazy person.And crazy people are dangerous.OOOooooo,be afraid,very afraid.

 Andy is always digging for scraps to prove this theory(and sell more copies of his lame book).The recent "coming out" of GOP insider Mike Lofgren gave Andy a lot of fuel for his crazy theory.If you don't know the Lofgren story,here's a quick overview.

 Lofgren was a GOP operative in Washington D.C. for about 30 years.He was a well know back room guy.He supposedly became disillusioned with the Republican party because he says the party is nothing but nuts,religious wackos and the party's sole purpose is to protect rich folks.He left the party in frustration and wrote his "coming out" piece,it's pretty much liberal broiler plate stuff.So Andy is dancing around singing,"I told you so!"

 I think the truth about Lofgren is probably a little different than his version.He has been an GOP insider for 30 years.He came to D.C. with much more moderate Republicans,many of whom were basically just pro life democrats.Within the party,he probably has as many enemies as friends.He probably has more than a few of his own scores to settle.

 Knowing the direction the party is going,he read the writing on the wall.He got out before they kicked him out.Why? If they kicked him out he would come across as being vindictive and loose credibility.So he decided to cash in while he could,make a big stink and write a book.Retire with a wad of cash and his own personal payback.Happens all the time in politics.It leaves me questioning his credibility.

 Sullivan takes Lofgren as Holy Gospel.He continues his anti religious crusade today on his blog using the "word" of Lofgren as proof that all conservatives are religious wackos and thus dangerous.He expands his idea that the Republican party is becoming more like a cult than a political party.

  I have discussed this before.Liberals do not understand the why many conservatives are Christian.We conservatives believe in the Constitution and the vision of the Founding Fathers.The basis of this is man's right to self determination.We have faith in this.This faith in self determination fits in with Christian religious faith.

  In liberals mind's they twist these two faiths into one thing.Liberals lack this faith in the individual to self determine his or her own future.This is why liberals believe in big government.They think people need government to hold their hand through life.This lack of faith in man is why many liberals lack any religious faith.

 For conservatives and libertarians this faith in both man and God comes easy and is very clear.For liberals who lack this faith,that's why they are liberals,these faiths are very confusing to them.They fear this faith because big government can not control or regulate faith.This is why they so viciously attack religious conservatives.Along with the race card,tagging a conservative as a religious wacko is part of the left's propaganda tool box.

 Personally for me,my faith is in man and the Constitution.I could care less as to your religious beliefs and you shouldn't worry about mine.It's too bad that Andy Sullivan is wasting so much of his time worried about something that is none of his business anyway.He just needs a little faith.
