There is no need for Mark Steyn to argue.Liberals just don't understand.

By D.C.

 I love reading or hearing liberals try to explain conservative thought and ideology.They struggle and grasp at things.It can be rather entertaining,if you find liberals showing their stupidity humorous.I do and I get a lot of laughs nearly everyday.

 Taking this into account,Salon today has a sort of half book review/half liberal hit piece on Mark Steyn's new book,"After America:Get Ready for Armageddon",titled "Right-winger foresees end of America".

  If you don't know,Steyn is a conservative writer and commentator who sometimes guest hosts Rush Limbaugh's radio show.He's the guy with the English type accent.

 Steyn's new book was released on August 8th.Salon is just now getting around to this review/hit piece on September 13th.I guess it took them a month to read it and they still don't get it.

 Surprisingly,Salon (sort of) recommends the book.Well,they recommend it to liberal readers to use the book as insight into the "crazed minds" of conservatives. Maybe it will sell a couple more books for Steyn,liberal's money is green too.

 Here is a little flavor of the article;

 "So although his demolition of the claptrap of "American exceptionalism" is most welcome, Steyn’s parallel attempts to prove that "statism" is the source of all of the world’s problems relies on such a tendentious and selective presentation of facts that it actually winds up subtracting from his readers’ understanding of what is actually going on in the world." (I question if the writer knows what is actually going on in the world.)

 "People who read it will end up with an extremely distorted view of a number of important topics, and will imagine that "the government" is some sort of almost supernatural and constantly growing malevolent force."(BTW,"the government" is a "constantly growing malevolent force".)

 "However, as a window into the mind-set of the contemporary right (equal parts resentful, angry, confused and uninformed), it is invaluable. If you want to understand the viewpoint of those Americans -- primarily, but not exclusively, older whites -- who are angry with where the country is headed, you could do quite a lot worse than read this book." (Here we go with the racist stuff,these liberals can't resist themselves.)

 I do get a lot of laughs from these liberals but I also study them for other reasons too. The ancient Chinese military philosopher Sun Tzu has a quote that goes something like this,"Know your enemy as you know yourself and you will win a thousand battles." In this case,knowing your enemy can be rather entertaining too.
